원장인사말

 
"신행정 연구로 넓혀가는 공공성”

 우리 사회는 코로나19 팬데믹, 다양한 기후재난, 경제적 불평등, 사회적 양극화 등으로 사회적 대변화를 맞이하고 있습니다. 이러한 국내외적 환경 변화에 대응하기 위해 한국행정연구원은 분권형·다부처 협력모델 연구, 공공성 회복 연구, 미래 정책 연구 등을 선도적으로 수행하고 있습니다.

 우리 연구원은 ‘공공성 강화를 위한 융합적 정책연구 선도기관’으로서의 비전을 가지고, 행정(行政, Public Administration)의 핵심 이념인 공공성에 관한 연구를 통해 사회적 갈등 해소 및 공공가치 실현을 도모하고자 합니다. 행정학은 ‘행(行, Administration)’과 ‘정(政, politics)’의 통합적 실천학문입니다. 이에  신남방·신북방 시대, 남북 평화통일 등에 대비하여 중장기적 행정·정책 교류 협력사업을 추진하고자 합니다. 또한 행정한류 브랜드(K-PA, Korea-Public Administration)를 개발하고, 글로벌 행정연구 네트워크 구축을 위해 힘쓰겠습니다.

 2021년 개원 30주년을 맞이한 한국행정연구원은 대한민국 행정체제 발전에 지속적으로 이바지하기 위하여 공공성 회복, 사회적 책임, 변혁적 정책개발이라는 핵심 가치를 기반으로 최선을 다해 노력하여 미래 30년을 위해 재도약하겠습니다.

불확실하고 복잡해지는 정책환경 속에서 국민 수요에 맞는 국정운영 정책과 제도 개발로 유능한 정부 구현에 이바지 하고 공공가치 실현을 위한 연구를 통해 사회갈등 해소를 위해 최선을 다하겠습니다.
나아가 행정한류 확산에 앞장서, 높아진 대한민국의 위상을 걸맞는 국제협력사업을 추진해 나가겠습니다.
국민과 함께 성장하며 다 함께 잘 사는 대한민국을 위해 미래 행정이 새롭게 달라집니다.

The Korea Institute of Public Administration was established in 1991 under the mission of achieving national progress centered on public wellness through research on government operation and administrative reform.
Over the past three decades, we have continued to expand our scope of research into government operation assessment, regulatory reform, social integration, and government organization.
Engaging in more than 100 carefully selected research projects each year, we have been designated by various government ministries as an expert research institution and developed into a thinktank that takes initiative in crafting advanced government policies.
With our 30th anniversary in 2021, we are preparing to take another leap forward and continually thrive over the next three decades.
We will focus our resources on developing policies and institutions that pinpointedly cater to the needs of the public amid growing uncertainty and complexity to contribute to enhancing the government’s administrative competence and on executing research aimed at realizing public values to resolve social conflicts.
We will also push ahead with international cooperation projects that promote the excellence of Korea’s public administration and further raise the nation’s international standing.
We will strive to elevate public administration to new heights to advance a nation of co-growth and co-prosperity.
