2023 국제 컨퍼런스 개최 : 디지털 혁명 시대 기술 혁신의 도전과 대응

디지털 혁명 시대, 기술 혁신의 도전과 대응
한국행정연구원, 국내외 전문가들과‘2023 국제 컨퍼런스’ 개최

□ 한국행정연구원(원장 최상한)이 주최하고, 한국법제연구원과 호주 찰스다윈대 북부 사이버보안 및 혁신센터가 공동으로 주관하는 ‘2023 국제 컨퍼런스’가 4월 13일(목)과 4월 14일(금) 양일 간 코트야드 메리어트 서울 남대문 한양룸에서 개최된다.

○ 행사명 : 2023 International Conference
○ 주 제 : Tackling Disruptive Technology in the Era of Digital Transformation : 「디지털 혁명 시대, 기술 혁신의 도전과 대응」
○ 일 시 : 2023. 4. 13.(목) - 4. 14.(금)
○ 장 소 : 코트야드 메리어트 서울 남대문 한양룸 1&2 (*온라인 생중계)
○ 주 최 : 한국행정연구원
○ 주 관 : 한국행정연구원, 한국법제연구원, 호주 찰스다윈대 북부 사이버보안 및 혁신센터

□ 이번 국제 컨퍼런스에서는 ‘AI를 활용한 공공 서비스 혁신’, ‘윤리적 AI 활용’, ‘AI 사이버 보안’, ‘데이터 보호’ 등 다양하고 흥미로운 주제를 다룰 예정이다. 본 행사는 공공 서비스 분야 혁신에 관심 있는 사람들에게 매우 흥미로운 기회가 될 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 다양한 분야의 국내외 전문가들과 함께 AI 기술이 가져올 수 있는 이점과 함께, 윤리적, 법적 쟁점 및 사이버 보안 문제를 다루는 최신 연구 동향을 확인할 수 있을 것이다.

□ 1박 2일의 일정은 총 3개의 세션으로 구성되며, 영국 Alan Turing Institute의 AI Ethics Head인 David Leslie 교수를 포함 7명의 해외 AI 전문가들과 국내의 대학, 연구기관, 산업분야 5명의 전문가의 발표로 구성된다. 또한, 9명의 전문가들이 토론을 진행한다. 자세한 세션 및 발표 제목은 다음과 같다.
○ Session 1 : Data-driven Public Service Reform: Issues and Challenges
▲Adoption of AI/ML in the context of the Australian Federal Government, ▲Reducing Human Labeling Errors in Developing AI-based Public Service, ▲AI-based Legislative Impact Assessment, ▲ChatGPT, How Will It Transform Public Services?
○ Session 2 : Ethical Engagement with AI-driven Technology
▲Safe Data Environments, ▲AI as Axial Technology, ▲Responsible AI: Removing bias from AI/ML, ▲Characteristics of AI Technology and Its Impact on Modern Legal System
○ Session 3 Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Theory and Practice
▲Malware: Using AI as an Offensive Cyber Weapon, ▲Disinformation – What’s the Harm, and How Do They Convince?, ▲Technical Leverage in a Software Ecosystem: Risks and Opportunities, ▲Effect of Mandatory Industry Standards on Data Protection

□ 이번 컨퍼런스는 한국행정연구원 공식 유튜브 채널*을 통한 온라인 실시간 생중계로 개최될 예정이며, 디지털 전환 및 인공지능 기술에 관심이 있는 국민이라면 누구나 온라인으로 참여할 수 있다.

The Korea Institute of Public Administration was established in 1991 under the mission of achieving national progress centered on public wellness through research on government operation and administrative reform.
Over the past three decades, we have continued to expand our scope of research into government operation assessment, regulatory reform, social integration, and government organization.
Engaging in more than 100 carefully selected research projects each year, we have been designated by various government ministries as an expert research institution and developed into a thinktank that takes initiative in crafting advanced government policies.
With our 30th anniversary in 2021, we are preparing to take another leap forward and continually thrive over the next three decades.
We will focus our resources on developing policies and institutions that pinpointedly cater to the needs of the public amid growing uncertainty and complexity to contribute to enhancing the government’s administrative competence and on executing research aimed at realizing public values to resolve social conflicts.
We will also push ahead with international cooperation projects that promote the excellence of Korea’s public administration and further raise the nation’s international standing.
We will strive to elevate public administration to new heights to advance a nation of co-growth and co-prosperity.
